About the Workshop
Enhance your knowledge of organic food processing by attending this workshop. The workshop will provide you with opportunities not only to learn more about food processing but to see actual plant operations. General sessions and workshops will discuss meat processing, cereal and grain processing, fruit and vegetable processing, and dairy processing.Topics to be covered are:
- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)
- Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points (HACCP)
- Sanitation
- Food Safety
Attendees will also have an opportunity to expand their knowledge of conducting organic certifications in processing plants.
Intended Audience:
Inspectors who want to broaden their knowledge base of food processing and processors who want to learn more about organic food processing. Certificates will be issued upon completion of the workshop.
Speakers:
The workshop will host speakers from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, National Organic Program, Nebraska Department of Agriculture and the OCIA.
